There will also be moments of relaxation and connection to the voice and body. All welcome\, no singing experience needed. \nInspired by voyages to the Outer Hebrides\, tales of ancient Celtic Goddesses and great folk singers from Peggy Seeger to Joni Mitchell\, Georgie Buchanan is a unique singer and harpist on the contemporary folk scene. \nAlana Middleton is a folk singer\, fiddle player and community music facilitator based in Leeds\, and is inspired to hold spaces where we can celebrate our connection to each other and the land we live upon through music and song. \nComing together with a shared affinity with the natural world and musical expression\, Georgie and Alana will be sharing the beauty of songs and stories to rural communities across the South West through gigs and workshops.

DESCRIPTION:We are excited to welcome this show back with a romp through history and a nosey around our own acres and cows too. \n‘Three Acres And A Cow’ is a history of land rights and protest in folk song and story. The event might look and feel a little different to years gone by but there will be no shortage of fantastic\, locally-produced art to take in (and take home!).  \nWe will have three artists debuting their work at Canon Frome Court during the event on 4th-12th September. Along with myself\, we will exhibit vibrant\, mixed media work by Janet Austen an NHS worker who has resurrected her creative passion over the three lockdowns. And finally painter/printmaker\, Elizabeth Perry\, has recently relocated to Ledbury from Cornwall. Liz creates a beautiful range of paintings and prints based on sketches made during her ramblings.  \nAngela Tempany’s textile wall-hangings will also be on display in the gallery.  The three banners inform and celebrate life\, past and present\, at Canon Frome Court and were painstakingly hand-stitched by the long-time resident.” \nMore venue information can be found by going to our venue page on the h.Art website.  \nWe are also part of the ‘Trumpet Trail’ of other local venues –Please share the map and visit us all!
