Learn to be more creative and more playful in a fun\, friendly\, stress-free environment. \nComplete beginners are welcome – Once you have completed the Beginners’ Workshop you can do the Improvers’ Workshop which will be held in the afternoon on the same day. Please book a ticket for each workshop that you would like to attend. \nYou don’t need any drama\, acting\, comedy or improv experience whatsoever. You don’t have to be clever\, fast or funny either! Also good for writers\, actors and comedians looking to widen their skills and boost their confidence. \nImprov is not the same as stand-up; you’re not alone on stage and it’s not about telling jokes or being really quick and witty. It’s about working together as a team with other improvisers to spontaneously create group stories\, scenes & sketches. \nLed by Jon Trevor\, founder and leader of Box of Frogs based in Birmingham\, who has been teaching and performing Improv for 10 years. \nIf you already attended the Beginners’ Workshop held on 30th November 2019 then you can go straight on to doing the Improvers’ Workshop. \nIn the Improvers’ Workshop we will learn some new games\, and build on the collaborative skills we learned in the Beginners’ Workshop. The material will be devoted to the subject of our beautiful\, endangered planet – but don’t worry\, there’ll be plenty of humour too! \nWorkshop: 10am – 3pm with homemade lunch\, tea and cake \nSandra Kerr Bonus Performance: 3.30 – 4.30pm \n \nSandra Kerr is a hugely popular choir director\, workshop leader\, singer and writer who is perhaps best known as the co-writer of the music for the award winning BBC TV series Bagpuss (in which she played Madeleine and several mice…) \nAs a bonus\, Sandra will also present a special participatory performance\, including some of the wonderful songs from Bagpuss. DESCRIPTION:Doors open: 7.30pm\nTickets: £5 on the door \n2016 winners of the BBC Radio 2 Folk Award ‘Best Original Track’ and nominees for ‘Best New Act’\, The Rheingans Sisters make bold\, playful and innovative contemporary music that is anchored in folk traditions without being bound by them. \nCurrently on a nationwide tour we’ll be welcoming Rowan & Anna for a short stay here at Canon Frome Court\, as part of which they will be treating us to a house concert in our lovely Music Room. \nFiddle-singers and multi-instrumentalists\, the sisters are well known on the folk circuit. Rowan is part of the BBC Folk Award nominated Lady Maisery\, and has also worked with Nancy Kerr\, Eliza Carthy and Karine Polwart.
