Canon Frome Court is a perfect rural venue for workshops, meetings, courses, receptions and events of all kinds.
Our community-run charity, the Frome Society, hosts regular events and workshops.
The rooms available for hire are on the ground floor of the house and consist of the following:
The Meeting Room (20’x31′) Maximum capacity for workshops – 20, for dinner – 60.
With its high ceiling and Georgian windows looking out onto the front lawn and lake, this light and airy room is suitable for all kinds of activities. It has a woodburning stove and polished oak floor. The windows have shutters which can be closed to exclude daylight. Ideal as a space for workshops and rehearsals, meetings, classes, exhibitions and dinners.
The hall, built in 1914 as a music room, has been used as a banqueting hall, badminton court, gym, theatre and dance space. There is a mobile platform stage and wall bars can be pulled out to 90 degrees to create smaller spaces. The hall has a sprung wooden floor, tall shuttered windows on three sides and a good lighting system. It provides a flexible space for a variety of events.
The Kitchen (20’x22′)
This large and sunny room has a small dining area with views to the church and the oak avenue. It has fitted cupboards and plenty of work surfaces, as well as a large cooker, fridges and basic cooking utensils, crockery and cutlery for 40 or so people. Groups can be self-catering or we can arrange catering as required.
Space outdoors is also available by special arrangement.
What we charge for the use of the space varies considerably according to the size and needs of the group. Please contact the Frome Society Secretary for further details: email FromeSociety@canonfromecourt.org.uk.
