Celebrate Samhain with us at Canon Frome Court!
Blackthorn Ritualistic Folk, are Herefordshire’s innovative dark performance group who bring to life folklore & dark history via dance, song, music, customs & ceremonies.
Their mixed side of members come from the surrounding areas of this mysterious borderland, which is home to superior ciders, excellent hops and the spiritual presence of the folklorist, Ella Mary Leather.
They dance a mixture of Border, Molly, Irish, Rapper Sword and Fire dances.
This event will include daytime market stalls, and an evening procession and celebratory display throughout the grounds of Canon Frome Court. Details to be confirmed, but it will be spectacular!

Join us at Canon Frome Court for a weekend of singing with the amazing Ali Burns.
Ali is one of the UK’s most respected songwriters for community choirs. Her songs have simple, profound text and are easy enough to learn by ear but still joyful and special to sing. They are adaptable for a wide variety of groups and make great performance pieces.
Ali will be joined by Jennie Fisk who will assist Ali in teaching the songs, and help keep everyone on track! Find out more about Ali at www.aliburns.co.uk
Canon Frome Court is an intentional community of 20 households who share a 40 acre farm. We’re fortunate to have a beautiful Music Room – a large hall with an amazing acoustic – which will be the venue for the workshop. Find out more about us using the About Us and Room Hire tabs.
Includes all refreshments: tea, coffee, cakes and a delicious vegetarian home-cooked lunch each day.
The workshop will run from 10am to 4pm Saturday and Sunday.
